Jessie Christieson
Intuitive Abstract Expressionism
I bring my art to you from Christchurch New Zealand. I am mostly known for my beautifully flowing, organic, abstract pieces on board, with the glassy shine of resin to top them off. Work that is fluid, filled with movement and wonder.
More recently I have evolved into following a journey of intuitive expressionism - where textures, complex layers, brushstrokes, colour, energy and life demonstrate my interaction with the canvas at any given moment. This art form allows me to move intuitively through my internal landscape, as I express on canvas what is swirling within, either in my emotions, my thoughts or my intuition. Where my faith pushes forth to conquer and convey thoughts and feelings of joy, conflict, resolution, intensity, calm and joy. Each piece takes its own journey and ultimately becomes what it’s always sought to become…I am merely the instrument for the art to be brought to life.
I am in love with this artform…it’s given me great joy and purpose as I create art that goes on to connect with others. That is pure magic!
